Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (HMCAA), owner and operator of the Huntsville International Airport and International Intermodal Center in Huntsville, Alabama, has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26.  The HMCAA has received financial assistance from the DOT (Federal Aviation Administration and Federal Transit Administration) and as a condition of receiving that assistance, the HMCAA has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26 DBE regulations.

The HMCAA has proposed an overall DBE goal and rationale for FAA funding for Fiscal Year 2011 (Oct. 1, 2010 – Sept. 30, 2011).  The proposed overall DBE goal for FAA projects that are expected to be awarded in Fiscal Year 2011 is 6.6%.  The HMCAA does not anticipate any FTA funded projects to be awarded in Fiscal Year 2011.  The HMCAA will accept public comments on the overall goal through July 30, 2010.  Requests for a copy of the proposed goal and rationale, along with any public comments, should be addressed to:
